Sega Master System
Despite a decent library of Sega arcade ports, a few original games that were worth playing (particularly Alex Kidd In Miracle World) and spiffy 3-D glasses, the Master System was no match for the Nintendo Entertainment System. After one last unsuccessful push in 1991 (which included half-hearted ports of Ghouls n' Ghosts and Strider), Sega pulled the plug on it in the U.S. – although it lasted longer overseas.

theultimate43: well thanks a lot *******, youre the kind of person that ensures that the stuff you love WONT make any more stuff, just for the sake of people not RIPPING OFF their life's work. remember that next time you switch on a DC game and say "this game is F'n awesome"....and remember that YOU are part of the reason youll NEVER see any more from em.
pic 8 3D0 - i had the one on the left - best game system out there besides ps3 but anyways i loved it and i will allways remember playing Gex, Starfighter, Bladeforce, Cyberdillo, Madden 93, Mad Dog 2 the lost gold, Po'ed, Daedalus Encounter even though I didn't understand it, and some "around the world" game i love 3D0

the dreamcast was a GREAT system and the main reason it failed was NOT because it came out earlier it was because alot of ppl including myself ripped that system off...do you have ANY idea how many burned games i had for that system..you could go online download the game burn it to a cd and play it in the system with NO modification it was THAT easy nobody really bought the games cuz they basicly stole them offline but timing really wasnt seags thing they really should of waited on most of their systems tweaked them more and made them as good as or better then what was out
I love sega but u kno these ones suck
xrubberboyli32x: that may be true, but believe me, i was there to see it fall.....the ONLY title that really pushed it was soulcalibur 2, and MAYBE powerstone.....other than that....nobody gave it a second glance. online play? who gives a crap, if nobody is on to play against. dont get me wrong. i REALLY like sega. i just think they cant make consoles worth beans. their problem is, they try to "beat the technology rush" and crank their systems out before anyone else....but they dont really push it to its max, because its technology that NOBODY has perfected yet. so a few months after they put out their "amazing" technology, everyone else in the world has already perfected it, and slams em into the ground with a much more refined version.
Sorry for double-post, but it won't let me edit my last post. Mean the CD-I system, not the 3DO
@Reesefromhell: They were referring to the really bad Zelda games on the 3DO that were released without Nintendo's approval. They were actually terrible, and if you want an idea of what I'm talking about go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mHw5g55oC4
well sega dreamcast did intro online they should be thankful
dreamcast was a generation before ps2, xbox and gamecube, genius. had it come out a year or two later, sega would probably still be making consoles, instead of more bad sonic games...
