PSP Needs a Brand New Bag
The iPhone has quickly become the new hotness in portable gaming consoles -- almost by accident. Apple's multimedia phone has a ways to go before it takes on the Nintendo DS, but the Sony PSP, crippled by lagging sales, should watch its back. Even though rumors of the PSP2 have been categorically denied by Sony bigwigs, we compiled a list of features a new PSP needs to have to stay in the game.

Whoever Does not know how to use the Iphone keyboard is retarded because All u have to do, if you press the wrong letter, is hold it and slide ur finger to the one you was intending to press. Geez.!!!! Figure it out people.! I would love if the ps2p, or w.e they are going to call it, had a touchscreen keyboard Like the Iphone. I would kiss it everyday Lol.
if the PSP had the second analog stick and a REAL D pad controller (like the Sega Dreamcast and Saturn "***hts" D pad), instead of the Dpad "buttons" they have used since the PS1 days, i would EASILY buy and play all the action games with no prob... bcuz of these shortcomings, i rarely buy those games... u would think they would they thought this out since the beginning... games like Streetfighter and Syphon Filter just cannot be played the way u want to play them.
I think that it's fine as it is but I do agree that it needs two analog sticks for shooters caz it's hard to lock onto a target fast and because I love sniping I might as well 4get it on PSP games. I also agree with the fact that the UMD Discs are slow and noisy and most of mine I have to take out and put it back in numorous timez to get it to work. So yes I agree that it needs an upgrade but only on sertiant qualities but besides that I love mine as is.
This "new, cool PSP" thing would cost sooooooo much money, whats trhe point of even talking about it unless you own like 15 cars, and a planet

Personally, it's about more than just copying the concepts of Apple and Nintendo if Sony wants to capture the handheld market. They need to better the technologies. EXAMPLE: Everyone knows that the DS has somewhat spotty touchscreen recognition. Sony would need to make a touchscreen that senses correctly 99% of the time. Of course, if they made the lone screen a touch screen, this would help, since the DS is partially hindered by the smaller screens. Sony would also have to do this on a budget; part of why they're lagging in both handhelds and home consoles is because people still aren't willing to pay for something when they can get the same thing for less. I may just be dreaming myself, but if Sony could find a way to make things like touchscreens and tilt functionality work better than it already does, and charge as much or less than the competition, then they would definitely take over the handheld market.
its an amazing portable already, i just wish it had more games to it.
if ALL those things were in the PSP, that would be cool! I like the picture of the PSP with the GIANT keyborad coming out of the bottom, lol Funny article! :D
