HISTORY FAILS TO MENTION THAT BLACKS FROM WEST AFRICA SOLD INTO SLAVERY WERE GATHERED UP, TORTURED, CHAINED AND TAKEN TO PORTS TO BE AUCTIONED AND SOLD BY OTHER B L A C K AFRICANS WANTING MONEY AND HATING ON OTHER TRIBES -- EXCUSE THE EBONICS.... SLAVERY WAS ALSO MORE WIDESPREAD THROUGHOUT THE CARIBBEAN, BRAZIL AND OTHER LATIN AMERICAN COUNTRIES THAN IN THE USA. THEY WERE ALSO TREATED WORSE IN THOSE LOCATIONS. U.S. SLAVERY FOR THE MOST PART WAS EXAGGERATED, THEY WEREN'T DOING ANYTHING DIFFERENT THAN WHAT ILLEGAL MEXICANS VOLUNTARILY DO BY SNEAKING OVER THE BORDER AND WORKING FOR LOW WAGES HARVESTING CROPS AND FRUIT.... THE BLACKS IN THIS COUNTRY ARE NOTHING BUT WHINERS AND THE VAST MAJORITY ARE ON WELFARE OR IN JAIL OR ON THEIR WAY THERE IF THEY DIDN'T BOTHER TO JUMP ON THE FREEBIE GRAVYTRAIN OF BLACK ORIENTED FINANCIAL AID FOR COLLEGE....NOBODY CALLS OPRAH A RACIST FOR GIVING HER MONEY TO BLACK COLLEGE FUNDS OR OTHER BLACK ORGANIZATIONS, NOR FOR SUPPORTING OBAMA.....YET IF A RICH WHITE MAN DID THAT FOR WHITE FUNDS (AS IF THERE WERE SUCH A THING) -THERE WOULD BE BLACK RIOTS AND DEATH THREATS.....I'M SICK OF THE RACE CARD BEING USED WITH EVERYTHING. The bottom line here is ...... JUST TREAT ANOTHER PERSON AS ... ANOTHER PERSON and realize that each person has something of interest to contribute to society (ok, maybe some - less than others). Bad people come in ALL races. There are some people from other races that I've met and I enjoy hearing of different experiences from their cultures. I don't really notice color or nationality when I speak to people. I focus on their disposition, do they smile, do they have a sense of humor (since I do!). Can we get past the outside and just try to see the inside person. And .... can the "over sensitive" please try to move on with life!? If / When you have a life, you don't have time to knit pick.

I did a term paper on the death penalty once and learned that black people make up 12% of the total US population, yet are responsible for 50% OF ALL MURDERS. So to make a video game about a black guys killing each other isn't racism at all - it is an accurate portayal of todays black community. here's a bit of history for you...blacks were sold into slavery by other blacks. Black people were traded by other blacks for molasses so they could make booze! Stop wasting your time and energy making yourself look stupid and go read a book. If anything, the fact that your ancestors of 8 generations ago were sold into slavery is a good thing for you. You all are reaping the benefits! You live in America. If you don't like living here and reaping all of the rewards, why don't you just get a one way ticket back to africa so you can go hungry and die of AIDS or malaria?! I'm so sick of all the *****ing. There is a reason why white isn't in everything. You don't have to put white enterntainment on something because it's already known that it's white. BET is owned by white people. This "article" caught my eye while I was logging in for work this morning regarding the video games... As an African American, I have never taken the video games personally. I can't believe some of the comments that are being left by ALL the races on this message board. This is ridiculous! There are a couple of people who are stating very ignorant statements about African Americans (You know who you are...), it is 2008 and you are still making these statements! I work hard for the money that I make, the roof over my son's head, and the clothes on our back. I work full-time and attend college full-time. I am sick and tired of the stereotyping. I am sick of the generalizing of black people and/or women. I'm not on "the system" Nor do I live in public housing or run amock stealing everything I can get my "little black hands on" I carry myself as a dignified American... not only as an African American woman but as an American who, frankly is tired of this battle between the races and the battles between sexes. I don't want someone's hand me downs. I work for it and so can everyone else. Did it ever occur to you that the media has a tendency to portray certain cultures in a negative fashion? Mind you, I don't condone the actions of those who did break the law. What I am saying is that it is more common to see an African American's face plastered on the television for a crime committed more so than a White American. And, what is worse is that because of what is seen on television, it stems the comments that I've seen in this message board. It's awful. No, I don't care for Al Sharpton that much either. Sometimes, there are people who inadvertently benefit from another's suffering or mistreatment. Yea yea yeah, he's a minister and he steps in when there is a racial injustice but all he really does is make a couple of speeches and get some of our blood boiling about the given situation. Jena 6 was awful and I honestly could not believe that there were still cities that carried on like that now. Basically, don't assume the worse of all African Americans because of some of the ignorant things that a small percentage of the African American community decides to participate in. While in the process of divorce from my son's father, I work hard, I take care of my son like a good mother should, I don't steal, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, and I go to school fulltime. So, please don't lump me and the majority of the African American population with the idiots that you keep referring to. Believe me, we aren't proud of them either.

I sit and watch this guy shoot and kill people on the TV and talk to his game buddy who is around the corner shooting other people in the game together. I am a 59 year old woman. I shudder, feel faint, sudden feeling of God's going to come and get us all. Such guilt and shame that GUYS and little boys are doing this! What is wrong with MEN. Why don't they feel the way I do! Seems to me that society is an equal opportunist when it comes to color. You don't hear of all white gangs or all black gangs etc. This world has become nothing but a oversexed, money driven, I can have it all on credit or dealing drugs and then go out and blow someones head off to pay for it all. So if you want to start beating a drum that will make a difference than be kind to everyone and show a little love in this already depressed world and do something instead of buying every high tech item so you can sit on your tail and complain that video games are racists and that the world sucks. The World is racists always will be unfortunately because everyone burns the energy to complain about things instead of trying to make a difference and get some more education and learn that the world has always been full of war and politics and one man all colors against each other. Our games, movies, etc are merely mirrored images of our society. These black robbers, killers, thieves and Drug Dealers will not work and they will not get an education. When the blacks stop killing, I am sure the black killer games will go away! More than 70 percent of America is armed now.
