Don't call him Jumpman
Mario had a humble beginning, wearing his trademark overalls and designed with his schnozz and mustache fully intact. He did have a larger stomach, but it didn't get in the way of jumping over girders and smashing barrels with a hammer.

How could they possibly forget a screenshot of the live action TV show mario
Paper Mario.... just the immense detail and trying to make it look as Papery as possible.... My favorite Mario ever
Right. Of course, all the games couldn't be named but Mario's transition into Super Smash Brothers Melee/Brawl, should have been significant enough to include. He'd gone from the plain and solid reds and blues to something that's rendered into actual clothing -- like jeans, my God, look at the detail of it all. He looks good. Mario's come a long way indeed.
all the little kids thing master chief from halo and marcus fenix from GoW are video game icons but i think mario is the best
i lovvvveeee paper mario it rocks!
It's nice to see someone else besides Chris Buffa writing these articles. Jesus Christ. Good job, man.
Many many much Mario games= Not enough room for all the transformation FYI. He's been through alot of tranformations. This was fun to look at!
They forgot a lot of mario games but u cant name them all considering theres so many...
I think they should have had Super Mario Bros 3 as its own slide or something. It was an amazing game and a lot of people love it. Well, Im not speaking for everyone of course, but it was seriously really fun.
