Friday, the blogosphere erupted in chaos after Editorial Director Jeff Gerstmann was fired from popular gaming site Gamespot.com.

The online rumormill -- ranging from Wired to the UK's Guardian newspaper -- says his dismissal was purportedly due to advertising pressure over a negative review of Kane & Lynch: Dead Men.
