(1) The person who wrote this article is writing in such hyperbole that I think it is very fair for people to leave just a venomous comments on it. Because after all, who is the guy writing this article, and isn't that what internet blogs and such are for. (2) Some people play video games for the storyline and not just glitch-free fancy graphics. So as someone who's played both the original Fable and Fable II and liked the original better (for its awesome and epic story, where Fable II, which anyone can admit, certainly fell flat) I feel a little insulted being grouped into the category of people "who have bad taste in games." I've never played Petz but I bet some kids really enjoy it!

this is stupid, people shouldnt be telling other people what games make them coolandwhat games make them stupid. Alot of the games like petz and stuff are for kids but who cares if an adult plays it. Just becuz some people like to think of them selves higher and they can choose what games are cool are not doesnt mean that its true.

All those dog raising games suck, get over it. Oh, and the point wasn't "new games are always better," the point was "new games that improve on the older ones and get rid of all the glitches and bugs are better." Sequels aren't always better, it's generally accepted fact (almost) that Resident Evil 2 is better than 3 and I don't know if anyone realizes it but GTA4's multiplayer SUCKS and the single player lacks any kind of challenge, I might have died 5 times, GTA san andreas has a hundred more features than that lame overrated sequel too, sorry. GTA4 is the most overrated game in the universe, ever. Just had to get that off my chest, lol, if I pissed you off - good.

Oh ho ho. Petz and similar games are made for little girls, like under 10 years old. I think that's pretty obvious.

You may disagree with this article, but keep your freaking opinions to your self. hell, i didn't like this article (i found it vague and providing no factual information or help at all) but I am in no position to bash people and how they make money. And i love fable, and saying it sucked would be completely asinine.

to all the people that think they are sayig Fable sucked. they are saying that if you think it is better than the new one, or if you think any old good game is still the best, you have a bad taste in games.

FIrst off, regarding family friendly games, there are several good ones there, for example the Pokemon series while not everyones cup of tea was a pretty interesting and fun RPG. Next, there are games that no one plays that are really good, and likewise there are games that everyone plays that suck. For example All-Pro 2K8, while have sucky graphics was much more playable then Madden 2008 (at least right out of the box, can someone say fumble glitch) but guess which one was played more. Lastly, regarding art, there are many artistic games that are good in their own right. For example Shenmue was an incredibly beautiful game (for the time) that was a great game in its own right, but certainly not everyone got it. Other great examples there are in the Elder Scrolls series, which is generally leading the way in graphial beauty, but 90% of gamers out there don't get it. So in short, just because somethings artful, underplayed, or family friendly doesn't neccessarily mean it sucks... just generally does.

actually fable was pretty good i mean yes fable 2 was better but that does not mean fable sucked.
