It's a PC Thing
Console fanboys have tattooed Mario on their forearm and will vehemently defend their system of choice at any given moment. PC fanboys are just as passionate, but also present less of a united front. They have no mascot, no overarching company to demand their loyalty, (the biggest fanboys might not even run a Windows operating system), and no one console to force them to conform to the mainstream. Find out if you're a PC fanboy by seeing how many of the following behaviors apply to you.

I just had to chuckle at the LAN party.
i like PC's but home consoles r waaaaayyyyy b8r
this article sucks. i like consoles way better than PCs and i don give a **** what anybody has to say
Im a BIG PC fanboy (my computer is not very strong but who gives a ****). Though I am not the kind of Fanboy that's stubborn and rude. Most of these aspects are true to me except That i actually owned a console and I am getting a PS3. To me, consoles are only good for Fighting, SOME racing, and unorthodox genres in gaming (example: Little Big planet (sanbox world games), survival horror, party games). PC will always be my main gaming platform but consoles will always have a place in my heart.
hmm, both PCs and consoles have their ups and downs. 1. Consoles do break down more often and doesnt last as long as PCs and yes it does take less effort, as for PCs do have more power, but also require to upgrade more often for the newer PC games, more ram ect.. now about the viruses, PCs only get viruses from their owners, ifyou know what ur doing, you wont get viruses on your pc, which will make it run more effective, like do weekly virus scans, not opening Emails that you dont kow the person sending it, so you dont get any phishing viruses or adware, not dling any programs so u dont get any trojan viruses or any other serious virus. i love consols i also love PC games as well, some games mouse and keyboard makes playing more effectively while other games the controller makes it easier such as las vegas1 and 2, where for COD4 prob easier w/ mouse and keyboard. it all depends on person and player, so ya, they both have their pros and cons, 1 isnt better than the other
I've been playing computer games since before I was a year old. My first game was an interactive version of the Bearenstein Bears back in 89. Now I usually play GOW, Crysis, BFME 2, or my favorite, a free hl-2 total conversion mod, Insurgency. My Pc right now would cost roughly 400-500 dollars depending on where it's bought and I can run Crysis on medium to high averaging around 30 fps. The rest of my games, GOW, Oblivion, Quake 4, Bioshock, Two worlds, I run ALL of them on high settings with anti-aliasing with no lag what so ever. So there can't be any complaints about gaming PC's being too expensive. Another thing I like about owning a PC is that I can buy new parts when they come out. If I don't want to spend a load of money all at once I can buy just a new graphics card or just a new processor. I've been upgrading my PC part by part since 1998. Btw, consoles are fun and I don't have any grudges against them but they're way too tame.
Finally the truth is spoken and by the way Halo sucks. So take that xbox and shove it.
To alternatingflame... the Xbox 360 requires constant updates for games, and Microsoft encourages constant updates via Xbox Live to unlock additional content. Computers dont cost that much, unless you want a top of the line gaming PC, but any one of them work well with gaming. Consoles get data corruptions much more quickly... and while computers are known for the "blue screen of death," I'd say the "red ring of death" is the source of more trouble than any virus. I don't know WHAT the hell you are talking about no lag for, all consoles have lag online, and loading screens and the like definately ruin the offline experience. I love my Xbox, but that doesn't mean it is without fault.
LOL mexicanjuice7 i play both pc and console a tried and true nentendo fan but the pc is has been and allways will be my first true love when it comes to games sure it may cost more ( bull ) you can upgrade cheaper then most games cost then you have the cost of the console it self with what one controller??? hmmmm and what does it cost to buy another one??? but then i do like controller's myself and they do make some hell'a good ones for the pc what everything comes down and my point is no matter what you like as a platform it's do you have fun playing??? like spore lol wtf is up wit that get a grip it's a game but then again the more that complaine the more ppl will want to buy it so you morons that think you can tell the rest of us what we can and cannt play keep up the good work :) from someone who is now a spore player thanks for showing me the game
