Convincing our girlfriends to play video games sounded like a great idea. Turns out, it was more of a curse than a blessing. She hogs the Xbox, "accidentally" spoils endings of games and calls us idiots for using an attack spell instead of a health potion.

If you want to get you GF away from video games plan a romantic evening and take her out if she wants to or not... If either partner gets jealous over what the other one is doing move on, find a new person to be/play with... It's not that hard...

I can honestly say I'd choose the safety of my (baby)hundreds of hours of playtime over hormones. Besides which, a guy who pulls garbage like that on you early in a relationship is a clearly a control freak, and as petty as a little lost data seems, i*****uy can't be a good sport over a GAME, than he's not worth your time, and you're better off kicking him out before the restraining order becomes necessary.
All of these things, would get your ass handed to you. Just so you guys know....

Most of my boyfriends have been gamers~ Hell I've been playing games... not casually since I was little on the NES. What kind of douche would erase someone's save file? That would only cause the two to break up. Taking her up and away from the video game is the only answer... this goes the same for Guys and not just girls!

Now that I have my laugh out of the way, I'll start by saying that dating a women who played video games was cool, because she never hogged my system and I never messed with hers. first off, if one of us were playing alone around one another, it was usually, because one us came over to each others house while the other was finishing up a level or a game. We never made each other sit and watch one of us play a game for hours. She had a Wii and I had my PS2 (PS3 now) and we always knew to turn if off when we were together. The only exception was once during the winter when I hurt my back, she loved to watch my roommate and I play Resident Evil 4, she never wanted to play, but she was so into the story and helping us play, that she did enjoy watching us play. Other than that, we never hogged a system or made each other suffer. It's still very cool playing Mario Party and Super Mario World with her on her Snes :)... Or the one time we beat Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the arcade game together lol. She was the only one I ever beat it with. Anyway reguardless who you are, if you want to keep a relationship, turn off the system (don't make them wait) and actually do stuff with one another, yeah playing games with your partner is cool, but you still have to get out and do interactive stuff together also. OH HELL NO, If some Dude erased my save file? well TWO can play that game. and other games like hiding or even returning his favorite game to Gamestop. And if I need to Ill just buy MY own system and he wouldnt be allowed to touch it.
