Okay disregard my last comment, the search has been improved from broken to just barely adequate (but still flawed). At least they're listening to the fans though.
Any mod system and LBP... they're two different animals, regardless of the fact that you have the ability to create. Not to mention, Media Molecule touted creativity, and I don't think that making Mario levels is quite "creative", or any sort of loss to the community. For anyone that feels their level has been wrongfully moderated, they can go to the official forums and contact Sam_Protagonist to review and challenge it if it bothers them so much. And if you still want to make Mario/phallus/what have you levels, you can. Just don't publish them, and you can still bring your friends to see it.
tehaudpirate: keep telling yourself that, champ. other games in the past with user-created mods haven't been moderated like LBP has. Media Molecule shot themselves in the foot when they started moderating levels. Wasn't LBP suppose to be all about doing whatever you want? Isn't that what everyone said? Look at Garry's Mod. There's a way to put Zero Suit Samus into the Half-Life 2 world. Are Valve moderating Garry's Mod because Zero Suit Samus is copyrighted by Nintendo? No, because Valve are not douchebags like Media Molecule.
Klinks; It's called covering their butts by MODERATING (levels aren't deleted, hurdurrr) levels that are good griefed and contain objects that may infringe upon intellectual property that they don't have permission to use. Btw, they patched the search function AND the moderation system last ***ht. :]
Yeah pretty cool advice, except that unless you promote your level on various forums it will never get played. I wanted a game not a part time job, avoid this game like the plague until they sort out the level browser.
The moderation in this game is bad. They deleted a level because a statue looked like pac-man. They did put it back up because the public didn't like what they did.
Awesome guide, I can't wait to get the game now!
