A simple blueprint for success
There's no denying the numbers. Despite impressive holiday sales from Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo's Wii won 2008 sales and continues to outsell the competition. Now that 2008 is behind us, 2009 holds endless possibilities. If Nintendo wants to win again there are several things it must do. Here's our suggestions for how to make 2009 a smashing success.

It's healthy to exercize with wii fit, challenge your mind with brain age! Its the most ingeinus thing nintendo has created yet! I respect Japan so much!!!!!
Wow......WOW. GameDaily had a good article! I can't believe it! Everything was right on! Oh, no wonder. That dumbass Buff guy didn't write it.
If they need to add anything to the Virtual Console it should be Super Smash Bros.
(Woo, tangent.) Also, why is this turning into an FPS hate fest? Most gamers love to play ALL KINDS of games, including games on the Wii. What is wrong with also liking FPS games? There have been fantastic FPS games made that have changed how video games are viewed. Half Life, Bioshock, Portal, all these games are viewed favorably in most gamers eyes. Are people associating all FPS's with fraternity boys and 13 year olds? C'mon, people.
Okay, first off and foremost, this review is one of the few that GameDaily hasn't pulled out of it's ass of lately. So kudos. Okay, I agree with most of the things said in this article, becuase it's essential. I agree with the virtual storage space. A video gaming stream would be nice (Nintendo already has a "YouTube" of sorts via the Nintendo Channel. Expandeture of the Virtual Console would be awesome, but most of the famous titles are already on. Plus, obscure titles wouldn't be searched as much and it's all about a little extra profit. Pokemon has been done to death, but I agree when I say that a new Pokemon RPG for the Wii would be nice. I hated Battle Revolution (since it wasn't anywhere near as good as Colisuem or Stadium). Nintendo had announced Wi-Fi and we now have Wii-Speak. How hard is it to implement that into a game? Mario is a classic, and Galaxy redefined Mario. Do more of that, but Super Mario 64 style. Perhaps expanding on the mushroom kingdom as a whole? Zelda series is great, but needs more work on story and mythology. Perhaps a good 'ol trip back to Termina? Sakurai, please make a "Kirby Wii". 'nuff said. Nintendo has enough peripherals. MORE INTERACTIVITY FOR THE CONTROL, I'M SICK OF THE WAGGLE Alright, finally, the casual crowd. Making them happy is important, but Nintendo, if you can hear me. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TRY TO THINK OF THE MOTHER****ING HARDCORE CROWD! Save your asses while your at it. It's never to late to bring the devoted back.
the wii sucks balls
Nintendo has great games! i prefert them then shooters
On the topic of (lol) "Hardcore" gamers. Most hardcore gamers are drawn to FPS games becuase of the majority of them being: Old enough to appreciate games, which ironically most do not, Old enough to be able play at a skill level higher than that of a fifth-grader, Experienced enough to know the basics of video gaming and most lingo, Critical enough to knit-pick at a game until nothing is left. Becuase most modern day FPS' focus on skill, it is no wonder that most Hardcore gamers have abandoned Nintendo for the consoles that favor FPS' more than anything. Becuase of this, the influx took a bad turn drastically towards the PS3 and XBox 360.
On the topic of Nintendo. They are failing horribly with entertaining the hardcore crowd. I believe that the problem is that people see the Wii as a failing system due to the incredible, and I mean titanic amount of third-party games that have come out to the system. Generally, a system is judged by the library of games that was released for it, and becuase of that, the Wii is sometimes known as a casual system. It goes like this: Nintendo tries to extend marketing and business by persuading casual crowd, thus increasing sales. Nintendo tries to make sales by encouraging third-party developers onto a easier-to-work-with console. Majority of gamers for Wii are casual, hence the massive amounts of games for casual players made by third-party developers (who need I remind you are not always as good as first-party ones).
Seriously, who is writing these articles. Any gamer knows that the Wii is not a superior console. Far from it. Miyamoto himself has said that his target is no longer gamers. He is targeting children and seniors and stay-at-home moms. Of course the Wii sold big. However, there is nothing on the Wii that is trying to help gaming change and grow and evolve. You don't see games like Heavy Rain and Portal on the Wii, pushing the boundaries of what video games as an artistic medium can do. I don't know why I continue to click on these articles and lists. They are obviously being written by someone who is being paid to advertise a product and doesn't give a damn about gaming.
