It's a battle of the brains (and hats) in this week's face-off.

Most video games star alpha males and scantily clad women, so Henry Hatsworth and Professor Layton, stars of two puzzle games for the Nintendo DS, seem positively civilized in comparison.

Besides distinguished headgear, the two brainiacs possess special skills -- Layton uses his noodle to solve riddles, and the treasure-hunting Hatsworth turns his enemies into puzzle pieces. We decided to pit them against each other to see which deserves a tip of the hat.
