Problems even Master Chief can't fix
Microsoft's Halo franchise seemed like an unstoppable a juggernaut, thanks to monster sales and a healthy online community. As history teaches us, however, even the mightiest empires crumble. With that, the following issues not only put a few dents in Master Chief's armor, but may also spell doom for the series.

wow, i only have a few things to say, first- the guy who wrote this definitly doesn't play Halo 3 or Halo Wars to begin with. second- If you really played the game, getting new maps and DLC wouldn't matter to you because of the different types of people and maps you play online anyway. third and final- The BR. Wow, whoever thought that the BR is unreliable isn't that good at the game in the first place because its not auto aim BR like in halo 2 bad kids, you have to lead your shots, that takes skill. -_- seriously, if you whine about the BR, don't play Halo, because you suck anyway -_-
I never experianced any problems on halo 3
Your words speak true tnysopr359. And jefftr8, we play games for different reasons, you play the newest game that just comes out until another takes its place, I play games for its storytelling elements and re-play value. And you care too much on other people's opinions for something you say you don't care about.
I've been playing Halo since the begining. I remember finding the first Halo in a used game store for about $15. That game was like nothing I had ever seen b4 and I played until my extra large game controller fell prey to obsolesence. I took that thing with me to countless tournaments, get togethers, and it was a sad day when I eventually had to switch to the smaller version. The point is that Halo will forever be a timeless classic. There will never be a time when it hasn't been a while and I wont be up for playing ledgendary mode with my brother. The game was both challenging and exciting and I will probably buy nearly every version of Halo the day it comes out until I die.
Shut up shadowmonkey. Halo is nothing special. It never was, and it never will be. I'm sick of all the preteens out there who still think it's groundbreaking. It's not even fun anymore.
Halo is still overrated. talk crap, I don't care. I hate the game
Wow. I hate whoever wrote this. You have to look deeper into what Bungie is leaving behind. First of all Master Chief is BAD ASS, he is also a faceless character (not literally), meaning that he has no real character development or defining moment for him, he can do anything from the start. And as for The Halo DS version, every FPS on the DS suck, in my opinion it would have given the Halo Franchise a bad name. The Halo movie, so sad that there isn't one yet, is still being made, but its not going to be a movie anymore, check hear: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Halo:_Chronicles Halo 3:ODST hasn't come out yet, you can't judge it yet, its still being made and things are slowly coming into play, this is Bungie we're talking about, not some other crap company, it will be a long game with a high replay value. The Battle Rifle ... there is more than one gun in the damn game, just get something else, and it works fine for me, maybe everyone is complaining about it because they suck, possibility? Jesus Christ give the people a break on the DLC. They've released more maps than any other recent game and the majority of there staff are working on Halo 3: ODST, its amazing that the small handful of people get done in the time given. Bungie is leaving Microsoft, big whoop, this gives them a chance to make some other great game on a different console. Also the ending of the story is open for other companies to continue the Franchise, put there own story into the Halo universe. Every Halo novel was written by someone who was not a part of Bungie or Microsoft, it was just creative people making great attempts at expanding the Halo Universe. There's always a possibility for Halo 4...
Sorry but Halo was originally for both. Just check gamespy. It was cancelled when Take-Two sold it's shares of Bungie to Microsoft. Sorry, but side games usually don't help a game succeed. Halo Wars doesn't even star the main character, Master Chief. Be like having a Mario game without Mario. Halo 4 is nothing more than a rumor right now. Want a good FPS? Go play Half-Life 2. Way better and more challenging.
Ok, for those of you not in the know......Yes bungie did break away From MS but! MS is still there main focus and Bungie does no longer own the HALO IP its is microsofts now to do whatever they please
BR unreliable? People on Bungie.net *****in about it? NOOOOOOOOOBZ!!!! Robert Workman needs to be beat to death with a 360 power brick.
