Some games are called super, but how many really live up to their name? We pick our 15 favorites.

Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo)

Numerous releases made Nintendo's Super Mario franchise a household name, but the original is the most important. This NES/arcade favorite features numerous levels of platforming bliss, whether you're swimming underwater or running through the catacombs looking for hidden one-ups. It's since inspired better games, including last year's Super Mario Galaxy.

Well at least you put Super Metroid in there. I love to kill the Mother Brain, and who can forget that cute adorable little (and later not so little) Metroid hatchling?! Lamar the magic metroid, lived by the sea...

I love this site for the reasons yall hate it. its so absurd and completely obvious that gamedaily only puts games on lists from companies that pay them money. It's so easy and so much fun to just flame it all to hell. As for this Super list. C'mon, 2/3 of all games made between 1991 and 1994 have the word super at the front of the title. even gamedaily could do better than this.
