Okay, most of these games on this list, I can live with, even if I think the said reasons behind it are very ill-educated at best. However, there is one game in particular that is on this list that seriously got my goat, and that would be the Silent Hill: Homecoming game.
" Now Konami is working on Homecoming, a game that probably involves a town called Silent Hill, lots of fog, a radio and shoddy controls. Seriously, how many times do we need to visit the same damn place?"
Okay, first of all, yes the game is called Silent Hill, hence it will probably be based around the plotline surrounding the town in the game. Otherwise, it probably wouldn't be the Silent Hill franchise.
Secondly, not all of the Silent Hill games are set in Silent Hill, at least not for the majority of the game. If you had probably played Silent Hills 3 + 4, which by assuming what you wrote about them, you haven't, then you would probably know that. They don't all have fog. And they don't have the same controls. Yes, they do all have a radio, but all Resident Evils have mindless flesh-eating undead humans as enemies, and use guns to kill them, so if it's the repetitive nature that you're talking about, then please find a different and more reliable arguement for that please. At least the new Silent Hill game is making a new main character, instead of recycling one from previous games.
And if you know jack about Silent Hill, you'd know that it's smoke and not fog, wise guy.
Lastly, with the new trailers and game-footage that has been released for Silent Hill: Homecoming, (which, might I add, can be found by some extremely easy research on youtube), you'd know that the entire control schematics and battle system has been reformatted.
So the moral of the story is, if that's all you have to complain about, which in of itself is an epic fail since you obviously did no research before you talked smack, come up with something better before you post this crap up on the front page of my news bulletins, please. And I'm sorry, but if this is how much effort you put into one game, I can only assume you put as much into the others as well, and that's crap.
And please, since AOL advertises this crap of an article to millions of people, I highly suggest that whoever the hell is in charge of this to fire the moron and hire someone who actually learned how to write a research paper in high school. Thank you.

Whoever compiled this list is a complete and total idiot that does not get out much, Little Big Planet won the best in show for G4's E3 games because it is something that will allow people to make the kind of game they might want to play, "could be as big as the Sims" was also a comment made by one of the E3 Xplay awards hosts, and yet this list's maker is goning to basically call out the majority of the gaming population and automatically declare that most gamers are going to make it suck, that's just wrong. Also, I do not see what is wrong with the Sonic games, I have thought they all have been good (with the exception of Sonic Riders), but I will also agree partially to the repetativeness of the series because all it is collect the chaos emeralds and fight the big boss at the end in super mode (all final bosses resemble dragons/lizards). I also have to give Sega credit for trying to change it up, such as the mech robots in Sonic Adventure 2 (my personal favorite out of the series), the controlling of three characters in Sonic Heroes, and the most recent addition of the character Silver (who has psycho kinetic powers). And also, how can you write of*****ame created by BioWare, the RPG rulers of the industry? Wii Music will also allow people who can't play Guitar Hero or complex music games to enjoy the ability to make music (giving more to the overall audience, not just hard-core gamers) and I think iit is an innovative and exciting idea. I would like to also tell the creator of this list, who apparently has no knowledge of gaming to please resign and quit the site, because, even though these are his/her opinions, THEY SUCK!!!!!!

Ok I just had to log in when I saw what you said about Silent Hill. Comparing it to Resident Evil makes you look even stupider than thinking Wii Music will fail. Silent Hill is a game and series STRICTLY based on storyline and background on a group called "The Order". You need to stop putting up bogus reviews, and start playing some games yourself, AND at the same time, actually read the text between characters.
this person sucks. i bet this idiot didng go to e3 and played the game hands on and so far the other gamesites like ign, gamespot, gamespy, etc... are prasing the game.has anyone seen the person play sonic unleashed in gamespot sure there are some glitches but for an alpha build the game is real good. and as for sonic chronicles that game has been praised as well. so this idiot that wrote this shouldnt even say anything and keep his damn mouth shut.
NO WHOEVER WROTE THIS KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT GAMES.as a TRUE hardcore gamer i can say ur an idiot. sonic isnt my fav game but u cant question it and dont even try to give brothers in arms or wii music a bad and the biggest mistake is when u bad mouthed little big planet it was one of the most anticipated games at e3 . it got the most hype at the sony press conference u know NOTHING
omg enough is enough. I've read countless little countdowns from Game Daily... and I kept my mouth shut. The person here apparently doesn't understand the term "innovative." Watch when some (because that girl game really just looks messed up to girl gamers & will probably fail... unless it actually is fun) of these games actually are good games. Go to gamespot.com for better reviews... not this crap that I see on AOL everyday. damn. btw alexielalmasy, RE4 didn't have zombies. =) I don't know if they're continuing that in RE5... I forget... >.>

ok seriously, what the hell? the person that writes these reviews should be beaten. I agree with everybody else here, they're not even trying. do some freaking research, play the freaking games, do SOMETHING other than half-assing it, and making it so obvious. I will personally pimp slap anyone that says Silent Hill is getting repetitive. I'm with tenoclockmonster on this. obviously Silent Hill is going to be in Silent Hill, IT'S IN THE FREAKING NAME for cryin out loud. what would it be called if it wasn't in Silent Hill, hmm? "coming soon, to a PS3 near you....Silent Hill: Road Trip!" yeeeeea no. -_- AOL, i ask you to please either hire someone who actually knows what the **** they're doing, or stop reviewing games altogether. i seriously doubt anyone would miss this, there are many others that review games, and do it well. so get up of your lazy butts and do something productive.
hyangso I think yore talking about Shadow the Hedgehog... Wii Music looks like it will be a fun game, I play Rock band with my brother... I really don't care for all the special effects and flashing lights, I just want to see my little Mii bounce around playing a cowbell or Piano! lol
Let's see... The worst Sonic title? The one where "Sonic" is all darkly colored and is allowed weapons; from AKs to Bazookas. The worst Silent Hill title? SH4 -- the game that does not even take place in Silent Hill. This Is Vegas? Wow, a cheap remake of Grand Theft Auto in which is just an extra waste of money since rich people couldn't even find a better use for. Thanks, jerks.
