Bring on the Music Games
Rock Band 2
Xbox 360- 9/14/08
PS3, Wii, PS2- 10/19/08
Last year's Rock Band destroyed Guitar Hero with its superior guitar and the ability to sing and play drums. Its impressive sequel, Rock Band 2, expands on the successful formula with improved and wireless instruments, a drum training mode, various challenges to complete and a 84-song soundtrack that includes AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Bob Dylan, Disturbed and Pearl Jam. Even better, you can download more songs online, and songs you already purchased for the original Rock Band will work in the sequel. Actually, the only thing that blows about this soon to be excellent game is a month of Xbox 360 exclusivity. PS3, PS2 and Wii owners will need to wait until October.
Sounds hot, but will it rock?

@dvv297 this list is for upcoming games, so although donkey conga was awesome, i think it wasn't eligible. god knows there are probably a ton of DDR games coming out soon, though. buffa, a response? :)

i dont see what the huge deal of the contest between Rock Band and Guitar Hero is. They are both really fun games, and are definatly going to keep entertaining us for a little while longer until something more fun comes along. Besides, we should be thanking Harmonix for creating both the Rock Band AND the Guitar Hero Franchises. Yeah, for anyone who doesn't know already, Harmonix made Guitar Hero 1, 2, and Encore: Rock The '80's.

Wtf... whatever happened to beatmania, dtxmania, o2jam, djmax? What about DDR, PUI, ING, or any of the other 5 million renditions? Guitar Hero is on here twice? Not even an honorable mention to DK's drums? This list fails.... hard.

Rock Band plays sooo much getter than GH -- lots of the notes were 'off' in GHIII -- so playing along to songs didn't feel as natural as it did in rock band or the previous GH games made by harmonix. I think that's the diff between musicians making a music game and game makers making a music game... IMHO

Your statement would be correct, but everything I write is amazing. Hence, you are wrong.
