A Snake's Life: The History of Metal Gear

Every legacy has a beginning, and Metal Gear's began on the MSX2 in 1987 and the NES in 1988. Snake, a young soldier at the time, sneaks into dangerous territory known as Outer Heaven, on a mission to destroy a robot with nuclear missile-firing capabilities. Metal Gear was an unconventional game for its time, taking a more strategic stealth route instead of being a typical action game, such as Konami's Contra series. Instead of shooting everyone, you snuck past their defenses, and this new mechanic set the game apart from everything else on the market.

this should've been on the top 25 of the best games EVER, duh....u got Call Of Duty 4 up there...they're deffinately on my list of best games of right now and EVER,lol...

If you havent played MGS4, then, if you can take some cursing, look up the artist Egoraptor and what he described MGS as. His work is also under the genre of 'Awesome'. MGS4 is being concidered as the best game ever. No doubt.

metal gear solid was truley a great game. however metal gear solid 4 hands down the greatest in the series. the story is amazing with plenty of plot twist, the keep you guessing even at the last second of the game. and it truely ends the MGS series. i wont go into detail thogh(play it for yourself to find out!) and the gameplay was excellent. i say MGS4 guns of the patriots is the best game realeased for the playstation 3 yet. i give it a 5 out of 5

That was a good article to read through even if it was messed up on the last game ^_^. You suck normgarry. Why did you have to be a prick and ruin a game like that >:x?! It's just plain annoying when people are spoilers!
