Fallout 3 (Xbox, PS3, PC- Fall 2008)
Fallout 3's post-apocalyptic U.S. brims with detail and depth, from the hundreds of unique characters you'll meet to your helpful, and wicked cool, PIP-Boy device. It's a game of choices, where one decision (to blow up a city, perhaps) affects the entire game, forcing your to make adjustments and deal with the reverberations of change. A gorgeous world awaits you, a place teeming with giant ants and ugly mutants that you'll happily blow to bits, courtesy of the game's Vault-tec Assisted Targeting System, a wonderful mix of real time and turn-based combat that lets you dismember your foes into bloody chunks. Beyond the fighting, however, lies an adventure that'll consumer you for hours, drawing you into its world with memorable little touches, such as music playing on the radio and your pet canine. Like all Bethesda's action role-playing games, Fallout 3 is what you make of it, and we strongly encourage you to give yourself to its hypnotic, and irradiated, charm.

Just to point out, game companies send out early/incomplete copies to reviewers months before games are released to get buzz going. My buddy does game reviews for a large media network and gets stuff like that all the time. Besides, reviews are opinions and in the gaming world, they're usually very elitist opinions from very non-elite people. Just take what info you can from the review and form your own worthless opinion. There is absolutely no reason to feel any emotion about a game review unless you have some sort of mental disorder, in which case there are a lot of medical solutions...

The point is this: most of these articles are illconieved and poorly executed. This article is a prime example. You want to talk previews? Great. Let's talk previews. But don't disguise it as a "review from the future" and give it a score. It doesn't make sense. What exactly are the scores based on? We know it's not based on hands-on with the game because the games aren't out yet. So where are these ratings coming from?

"2008 Video Game Reviews...From the Future!" Do you not read that? How in the hell do they have a time machine? Explain that? Of course they haven't played the damn game. They are just going off from what they know and what they can reference it with. Damn, and it's not like they gave games a rating of 5 or anything. They can use the same arguements against most of you asses. "How do you know the game is so good if you haven't played it yet?" So shut it and stop complaining. Half of you all's comments are a waste of space on the internet. Judging this article when you asses are doing the same thing with a game you haven't played it.
