We always award a game the score it deserves, except when we don't.

When a perfect score goes bad

Video games reviews that conclude with a perfect score always draw the ire of gamers convinced that reviewers are accepting bushels of cash from greedy publishers. We, however, have a different theory: Our perfect scores are oftentimes bizarre. Whether it's writers stumbling over their words or just using flowery language, the following games don't deserve such lofty praise.

This article is ROFL. Hey you sorry ass reviewer, why didn't you re-rate games like FF7 or Half Life since you already left crappy reviews on Halo 2 and COD:4? Oh I know why- because no one will hire you to write articles like this unthoughtful and retarded review but AOL. Nice going AOL. When you fire this guy make sure you hire someone with 60% more common sense than the one that wrote this.

This is the most ignorant bs i have ever read. First off i have read aol's little occasional opinions on video games. They are always horrible. I am not one of those people to over buf*****ame but... you can't give halo 2 a perfect 10 then take it away. That was the single most played game on xbox for 2-3 years. The multiplayer was pretty much addicting as hell. Not every game is going to be perfect. Aol leave video games to people that actually know what they are talking about. kk thx.

What were you thinking with this article? I loved a lot of games ont his list, and the games I didn't play, I heard neutral or good things about them. I enjoy reading the video game articles, but this just dissapointed me.

Wow. Does this article make any sense? Alright, these games were amazing games at one point. But over the last 3-4 years we've found better, so these games no longer deserve the ratings they got....wow >.> Weren't these games rated...3-4 years ago and not today?

This article is bogus. the writer of it is out of their minds. apparently, i*****ame is out of date, it can no longer be considered good. As an avid halo player, the review of Halo 2 really outraged me. the writer states that "The romantic story of a rogue alien and a super soldier with zero personality arguably ruined the franchise." and that the plot was poorly written at best. He also goes on to say that the game should have never been called "a milestone in video game history" I disagree with virtually everything he stated about it! Im not here to say that halo 2 should get 10/10 but I am saying that his reasoning was absolutly BOGUS.
