We have nothing but the highest respect for fan fiction. After all, without the poetic words from Nintendo fan boys, we'd never find out what would happen if Samus Aran made sweet love to Princess Zelda. OK, so that's one of our fantasies, but until two hot chicks film that tantalizing scene, we'll watch less erotic films written, directed and released (to YouTube, anyway) by fan boys, for fan boys.

Real Street Fighter Wannabe
Everyone remembers beating up the car to score bonus points in Street Fighter II. This guy takes his love for the enjoyable mini-game to a whole new level, dressing up as Ryu and literally destroying this fine automobile. Then he goes Dhalsim at the end. Come on, buddy. Stay in character.

Resident Evil Clay-Mation
Professional animators ditched clay for those newfangled computers, but at least the art form is alive and well on YouTube. This dedicated Resident Evil fan summarizes the first game's plot using characters made of clay. Yup, Wesker's still evil.

MC the Merciful (Halo Short Fan Film)
See what happens when a homicidal Master Chief goes on a killing spree in someone's garage. Merciful? We think not.

Zelda Movie (The Hero of Time)
Now this screams quality. Instead of creating a five-minute trailer of a film that doesn't exist, these talented men and women actually went out and shot a live action feature length Zelda movie called The Hero of Time. Then they hosted screenings in an actual theater.

To fool readers, fellow video game website IGN concocted this impressive trailer from an upcoming Zelda film, set for release April 1st, 2009. Of course, you'd have to be a little on the dimwitted side to mistake this April Fool's prank for the real thing. Still, major props for such a sweet looking video, even the old dude who plays Link.

Assassin's Creed Fan Film - Bird of Prey
Although it's a bit too short and light on plot, we approve of this Assassin's Creed flick, simply because the actors managed to perform their stunts without actually slicing each other. Be sure to check out the Altair-style dive near the end.

Mortal Kombat: The Tobias Diamond
After watching this nearly 10-minute video, we're still not sure what a Tobias Diamond is, but at least Sonya Blade's hot.

Stupid Mario Bros the Movie Fan Made Trailer
We have no idea why Mario and Luigi have lightsabers and no facial hair. Oh yeah, Link and a guy who resembles Solid Snake also found their way into this mascot mash-up. At least Wario doesn't fart on someone's head.

The worst Sonic fan movie ever made!
Oddly enough, we had more fun watching this poorly animated Sonic film than playing the Hedgehog's first Xbox 360/PS3 video game. At least it runs without annoying glitches.

Pokemon the Movie
After what feels like decades of animated Pokemon flicks, someone finally created a live action film with Nintendo's battle monsters. Whether or not we're ready for this craziness remains to be seen.--Chris Buffa
