With the incredible $300 million first week sales for Halo 3 driving momentum and further hardware adoption for the Xbox 360, Microsoft is looking to capitalize on the positive buzz currently surrounding its platform.
The company will launch two new Xbox 360 bundles retail-wide by the end of this month at the recently reduced prices of $349.99 for the Pro SKU and $449.99 for the Elite model. The bundles will include both Forza Motorsport 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance—both games were given very respectable eight-out-of-ten reviews on GameDaily.
In addition to the recent blockbusters BioShock (2K Games) and Halo 3, Microsoft is hoping to attract purchasers with a number of other hot titles including Project Gotham Racing 4, Mass Effect, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Activision), Rock Band (EA/MTV), and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Activision), among others.
