Gamers who picked up the Wii last year during its launch no doubt have already finished Zelda: Twilight Princess and have played Wii Sports until their arms became sore. These early adopters and hardcore gamers have been wondering when the next big Wii title would arrive. Now they have an answer – at least for one of the more anticipated Wii games. Nintendo of America has officially confirmed Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for an August 20 release in North America.
The company has revealed a complete summer release schedule for both the Wii and DS, which will "satisfy both core and new gamers." Other standout titles include the new Mario Strikers Charged on Wii (July 30) and Brain Age 2 on DS, which incidentally ships the same day as the new Metroid.
[UPDATE] Representatives for Rockstar Games contacted GameDaily BIZ to let us know that Manhunt 2 on Wii will be released on July 10. This was curiously missing from the official Nintendo list we originally published.
