Zoe Mode – Keith Robinson and Jennie Flynn
Zoe Mode recently announced that it has hired two new people to its management team. Development Director Keith Robinson and Producer Jennie Flynn will complement the recent company growth from 65 to 140 staff.

"We are very excited to have Keith and Jennie joining our team," said Ed Daly, Zoe Mode Studio Head. "Both bring a mix of games development know-how and also experience from other sectors. It's important for our growth as a studio to bring in diverse talent to create games with diverse appeal for which we've become well known. We're constantly on the lookout for the best and brightest talent and I couldn't be happier to have Keith and Jennie on board."

Robinson's time in the industry includes a role as Development Director at Argonaut and Group Development Director at Rage. His jobs have been outside the industry of late, including a pan-African role for a large sub-Saharan ISP and more recently at Fujitsu Software's application development division.

Flynn has a background in project management in gaming and telecommunications. She was most recently working at Disney's Blackrock Studio, also in Brighton.

Gamer Doc – Frank and James Bajc
Gamer Doc announced this past week that Frank and James Bajc will be the company's first area developers in Canada. The father and son team plan to open multiple Gamer Doc stores in the metropolitan area surrounding Toronto over the next five years.

"Frank and James are successful entrepreneurs, with many years of experience in owning and operating their own businesses, and we are very proud to welcome them to our team as Gamer Doc's first international area developers," said Jim Belanger, president of Gamer Doc. "We have great confidence in them, and look forward to much success as they lead Gamer Doc's expansion into Canada."

"Gamer Doc's interactive customer experience is unmatched in retail, and all gamers, from hardcore to casual to novice, will enjoy their shopping experience," said Frank. "Our Game Centers for Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo make it easy for customers to find the games, consoles and accessories they are looking for. Gamers who know what they want can come in and buy, rent, pre-order or trade-in a game, and be in and out of the store quickly, while those who are new to gaming, or want to browse, can take as much time and ask as many questions as they'd like."

"Video games have become one of the most popular forms of entertainment across all age groups, making it the hottest sector in retail, and Gamer Doc offers entrepreneurs the best opportunity to be part of this trend," said James. "In 2007, the industry generated a record-breaking $1.5 billion in Canada, and shows no sign of slowing down. The market continues to expand beyond hardcore enthusiasts, with sales increasingly being driven by casual gamers, women and senior citizens, and our goal is to make Gamer Doc the number one destination for all video game fans."
