UPS employees were allegedly fired for thieving copies of Grand Theft Auto IV. Source: UPS
Sadly, there will be a few GTA fans who won't get their copy of the game on time, and we have a few good ideas as to what those players would like to do to the thieves.
The UPS source tells Ars Technica that thefts are not common, but they tend to happen more when video games are involved. There have been reports that staff members will see a video game company name on the return address, dig into the box, remove the game and either ship a busted box or have customers file a claim for a "missing" package.
Have you ever received an empty video game package from your mail carrier? Let us know in the comments area below.

UPS didn't steal any games from me, but someone did steal a set of leather car seats I had shipped to a buyer. I was convinced from day one that they were stolen, because these are large items of an obviously high value. They "lost" a set of large, heavy car seats? Come on! I had to tell my customer that his only recourse was to file a claim against UPS. I was steaming mad, but there was nothing I could do about it! I tell everybody to avoid UPS if you can, and go with FedEx.
