Week 11: The HUD 10 are back!
The original 10 are finally back together - ahem. We talk about what they're not playing (since roughly ten million games are coming out in the next few weeks), the potential resurgence of E3, worst gaming pet peeves, and the battle for domination between discs and downloads. (1) So many new games, not enough time! What are you not playing this week?
Oh man, that is a loaded question! Dead Space, Saints Row 2, Far Cry 2, Fracture, Golden Axe: Beast Rider, and much more. I have to focus on games I need to review! Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is the title de jour right now.
I'm not playing Fable 2 and Fallout 3 this week – don't get me wrong, I'm itching to play both, but since I anticipate both will take a considerable investment of free time, I wanted to get the more linear (but oh so great) Dead Space out of the way first. Next week: Fable 2 ... unless Penny Arcade Adventure Ep. 2 calls me to its rocky shores.
You rang? I'm not playing everything. For one, I have these splitting headaches due to the bolts lodged in my temple. But secondly, because nothing is even out of interest in England yet. By the time this goes out Fable 2, Far Cry 2 and Dead Space will probably be out, so i might pick up them. For now, I'm content with Castle Crashers. Let's just hope Frankenstein's castle isn't crashed.
I am NOT playing the Resistance 2 multiplayer beta, but I actually received a code for that last night, so that very well may change this weekend. I am also not playing Jeopardy on the PS3 because I am not as bright as I thought I was.
Of all things, I'm not actually playing Dead Space. 'Tis the season and all, but I just have not had time to even open up the PlayStation 3 copy that's been sitting on my desk. Maybe I'll save it for Halloween -- I'll turn down the lights, turn up the stereo, and ignore the trick-or-treaters ringing my doorbell as I hack things to bits in space.
Deadspace. Why? Because I'm addicted to Fable 2.
Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Midnight Club, and the three copies of the Naked Brothers video game were among the games I have copies of but couldn't get to this week. [Ed.'s note: And even if you were playing Naked Brothers, that's not something to reveal to the world... ]Then I went away for three days, leaving Fable II, Dead Space and Wii Music in the same pile. So the answer is... anything!
I'm NOT playing 'Golden Axe: Beast Rider' and I'm not playing 'Gorgasm: The Legend of Dong Slayer.'
What I'm not playing is Far Cry 2 on a giant movie theater sized screen anymore — but I did during a recent launch party in Toronto. I'd like to check out the retail game sometime but a ton of other games and events are crowding my plate. At some point I'd like to get my hands on Midnight Club: LA and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows but with Fallout 3 days away who knows if I'll find the time!
Too many games to count. Have you seen the holiday release list?

I'm just going to throw this out there... does anyone actually LIKE this feature? No offense to the panel members, but there's really no insight or interesting information to be gleaned here. And the fact that it's "game journalists interviewing game journalists" makes it all the more pretentious.
