(2) There are major games being released essentially from this week until the end of November. Which week are you most looking forward to?

Thanksgiving week. My Rock Band band--Manny Being Manny--is based in L.A., and that's when we're planning our Endless Setlist Reunion Tour. If you hurry, you might still be able to score a few tickets in the nosebleed section.

I haven't looked at specific release dates beyond the end of September, but just for this month I'd say the week of 9/15 has special appeal. I'm not picking that week because MTV's own Rock Band 2 is coming out, but because I just got a new gaming laptop for playing "Spore" and should be able to enjoy what may be a trifecta of good PC games all coming out then: Stalker Clear Sky, Crysis Warhead and enhanced edition of The Witcher. Unless the Gamestop release calendar is inaccurate and I just got my hopes up for nothing.

It's tough to pick fall favorites when all we've got to go on are brief bits of hand-picked gameplay. That said, one of my favorite bits of hand-picked gameplay that was all too brief was the 5 minutes I spent with Mirror's Edge, so I'm really looking forward to jumping (and kicking and running) into the role of Faith, seeing if DICE's experimental FPS works as well as it did in those 5 minutes.

That is one tough question since there are so many great games coming out in the next couple of weeks. How can one decide between a week where Rock Band 2 is released, but then overlook the week Spore is released? If I HAD to choose a week, I'd have to say the week Left 4 Dead is released since majority of the big games will be released by that time.

I can't wait for Wario's launch week. Wario Land: Shake It! is going to be the next game that really sucks me in. I am always on a huge retro kick, no matter what time of the year it is. To see a new Wario Land grace us is great, and to get it on a console is even better. Other than that, I'm eager for Spore, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and Sonic Unleashed. That's just a small sampling...there are too many great games to look forward to!

A week? How about a day? October 28 will be the best gaming day this year.

Which week? Man, I don't actually have a release calendar in front of me. Am I supposed to know what's coming out by the week now? But if you're asking me what games I'm excited about between now and November, that question is a bit easier to answer: Bethesda's Fallout 3, Electronic Art's Dead Space, and I'm really looking forward to seeing which game I'll be playing more: Guitar Hero World Tour or Rock Band 2.

Unfortunately the game I'm most looking forward to is at the tail end of the wallet draining season. Give me zombies and give me Left 4 Dead, the 4 player co-op shooter from Valve. It was easily the stand out game of PAX, the constant long lines told that tale. Every time I watched a group of people playing they were yelling, screaming, smiling and laughing. The game is a total gory win.

Whenever Mirror's Edge, Fable2 and Fallout 3. I want those games so badly. I just which they'd hurry up and come out already. I'm excited to get my hands on them all. I just need to have a lot of money to burn between now and Christmas.

After getting hands-on time with Dead Space and Left 4 Dead at PAX my decision has to lean toward those two but if I was forced to pick I'd go for Dead Space. Arguably the most atmospheric game since BioShock, Dead Space has the potential to scare the living hell out of you while maintaining fun and exciting gameplay. October cannot come fast enough.
