Now that the world can barely remember a day that didn't include Nazi Zombies, it's clear that Activision's Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 solidifies the game's dominance as the company announced that over two million downloads were purchased over Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

"This is a huge milestone and we are so appreciative of our incredibly supportive community who continue to play and enjoy the game," said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch. "We're hard at work on Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 and look forward to delivering that in June."

The download-only Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 adds four new maps to the game -- Nightfire, Station, Knee Deep and Verrückt -- for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live and $9.99 on PlayStation Store.

Map Pack 2 will deliver three multiplayer maps and one Zombie map for both systems. In the multiplayer maps, Banzai presents a tall, river bridge that players will fight to control; Corrosion brings on metal mayhem as players seek others in an abandoned Russian train yard; and Sub Pens presents a capture the flag-like mode where players will fight to control a bombed-out submarine base. Adding the Zombie lore, Shi Ni Numa (Zombie Swamp) presents deadly Imperial Zombies that rise from the swamps where you'll chooe to stay and fight... or if you run, you'll encounter various traps, flaming Hell Hounds and the new Wunderwaffe (Wonder Weapon) DG-2.
